Kubota is preparing a major showcase at PlantWorx 2025, where several new machines will make their UK debut. From crawler and wheeled excavators to compact tracked loaders and sustainable retrofit options, Kubota is aiming to demonstrate versatility, innovation, and forward-thinking design.
Expanding the Excavator Range
At the heart of the lineup is the new U145 crawler excavator, developed in cooperation with Sumitomo Construction Machinery. This short-tail excavator weighs between 14.5 and 15.2 tonnes and is powered by a 76.4kW (102hp) diesel engine. Optional features, such as a dozer blade, add stability and multifunctional performance.
Kubota is also entering the wheeled excavator market with the KW095 and KW115. Built in partnership with Liebherr, these machines are notable for being the first Liebherr excavators powered by Kubota’s own V3800 Stage V diesel engine. The KW095 weighs 9.7 to 11.5 tonnes with a 55kW (74hp) motor, while the KW115 operates between 10.8 and 12.8 tonnes, delivering 80kW (107hp).
Compact Track Loader and Retrofit Innovation
The SVL75-3 compact tracked loader will also be on display. With a 55kW (74hp) diesel engine, it offers a bucket breakout force of 2,710kg and a rated capacity of 1,613kg. Its advanced hydraulic system delivers both standard and high-flow power, making it compatible with a wide range of jobsite attachments.
Kubota is also addressing the industry’s shift toward sustainable power. A retrofit modular battery pack is now available for its KX019 and U27-4 mini excavators. This innovation allows contractors to swap the diesel engine for a battery-electric drivetrain when zero-emission operation is required and return to diesel for other applications. The retrofit system has been shortlisted for a PlantWorx 2025 Innovation Award in sustainability.
Updates to Core Models and Digital Marketplace
Kubota’s popular 1.5-tonne mini-excavator models, including the U17-5 and U18-5, have received updates such as a larger fuel tank, auto-idle, and a wider undercarriage extension, all aimed at boosting productivity.
Visitors to PlantWorx will also experience Terrako, Kubota’s new digital marketplace for genuine replacement parts. This platform simplifies ordering and delivery, giving customers more flexibility in managing parts supply.
Undercarriage Support for Kubota Machines
While Kubota is expanding its machine range with advanced features and eco-friendly options, reliable undercarriage performance remains critical to long-term success on the jobsite. At Global Hydraulic System, we provide durable undercarriage solutions — from track chains and rollers to idlers and sprockets — ensuring Kubota owners and operators can maximize the efficiency and lifespan of their equipment.
